About the Role

 

As a Product Marketing Manager, you’ll help shape the travel experience for millions of riders and drivers around the world. You’ll work as a key player on a product team, while also liaising with marketing, partnership, policy, and many other teams to deliver a magical experience. The role demands technical depth, principled thinking, well-honed product instincts, a refusal to settle, true innovation, and a high quality bar for what goes out to the world.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Help to shape the PM team’s roadmap, developing the positioning for new products, building go-to-market strategies and owning the success for features and campaigns.

  • Own the marketing strategy for new rider products and features

  • Run effective launch marketing campaigns to drive buzz and adoption for the products you build

  • Design and refine marketing strategies to drive feature usage and positive business outcomes

  • Work with your team to drive highly impactful programs. You will partner with a high-performing cross-functional team that includes counterparts in Product Management, Marketing Strategy, Product Design, Data Science, Engineering, Research and Operations to meet shared objectives and key results.

  • Manage and grow strategic marketing relationships with various internal partners.

 

What You’ll Need

 

  • 5+ years combined product and growth marketing experience delivering highly successful user acquisition and engagement strategies, with a focus on consumer marketing.

  • Finger-tippinesses with data: You just go get the data you need and can whip it into an insightful story with no help. You know how to leverage data to make decisions and drive growth. You have experience running rigorous multivariate testing and experimentation.

  • Top-notch at market research: You’re a truth-seeking missile. You know your market, customers and competition better than anyone, and you integrate this information into your growth strategies.

  • Master storyteller: You can craft a compelling narrative across different channels - you know how to match the message to the medium.

  • A “builder” personality: You’re biased toward action, a great collaborator and master disambiguator/simplifier. You never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery.

  • Scary-good at articulating the essence of products and the value they create. You can develop a strong messaging hierarchy and effective content strategy. You shine at copywriting.

  • Grittiness: You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.

  • True passion for a company’s mission and the company’s hybrid technology / operations nature.

  • You understand how to spot and quantify potential business value within a partnership, equipping you to negotiate co-marketing strategies and identify mutually beneficial opportunities to secure partner investments.
