Aquent is currently sourcing for a creative, passionate and extroverted individual UX/UI Designer, courtesy of one of our State of the Art, Fortune 500 clients local to the Eden Prairie, MN market area. The ideal candidate for this role will have a top-notch portfolio showing projects where design elements were created and iterated and will have the ability to explain their methodology through the projects. This individual will be responsible for creating all UX/UI deliverables for the Order Management application and will work with a tablet, desktop, and mobile applications. Our client is seeking a self-driven individual who is not only deadline driven, but has the ability to work on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses heaving in design, but also in the visual design/UI design as a part of the creative team. Our client seeks a passionate, collaborative, and outgoing candidate to join our fast-paced team. As a UX Project Lead you will be responsible for driving projects through all stage gates and defining experiences via leading a team of UX Designers. The company is unifying and simplifying the administration screens and interface(s) used internally for scheduling appointments. The UX Lead will represent the larger Retail UX voice and champion company standards, industry best practices, and the voice of the user throughout discovery and development as a part of the business and technical teams. The ideal candidate will be excited about solving complex, multi-faceted problems and providing collaborative direction through whiteboard sessions, IA deliverables and design assets while understanding the limitations of various systems and the audience they are designing for.

Position Overview:

  • Be the UX lead for multiple fast paced projects
  • Responsible for delivering full UX lifecycle deliverables
  • Possess the ability to drive conversations, meetings, collaboration sessions and project definition between business, IT, and UX teams
  • Have a client service approach to corporate relationships to act as a liaison between all project teams
  • Experience delivering experience briefs, user journey maps, user flows, task flows, wireframes and functioning prototypes
  • Have experience with various development/engineering approaches to understand how IT strategy impacts the user experience
  • Collaborate with other UX resources to deliver the optimal UX solution based on requirements
  • Estimate new scope work

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering digital solutions to a variety of industries, in large corporations
  • Experience in lead role, defining projects and solutions, and leading teams
  • Experience providing direction to a number of resources
  • Experience managing complex UX projects
  • Online of PDF portfolio required for submission
  • Strong ability to collaborate and assert a point of view positively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on advocating for UX solutions
  • Very comfortable with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and leading design for B2B applications UX/design
  • Experience with task-based applications as opposed to e-commerce or brochure-ware sites
  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design
  • Agile/Iterative experience 

Bonus Qualifications

  • Project Management experience, including PMP certification  
  • Experience with scheduling applications a huge plus
  • Standard UX deliverable tool experience (Adobe, Sketch, Axure, etc)
  • MS Office, MACs
