Job Description:

Our client is a large financial company in Boston, MA and they are looking for a Content Strategist to join their team for a 6+ month contract with the potential to extend. This Content Strategist role is 40 hours a week, health benefits and 401K offered.

The Customer Strategy and Integrated Marketing (CSIM), the internal marketing organization is looking for a creative, thorough, and detail-oriented Content Strategist who is committed to consistently providing quality work for our organization’s needs. 
Content Strategist Responsibilities:  

  • Working with our 40+ team of writers and content strategists, this person will partner with internal leaders to define content requirements and strategy that best achieve business goals and align with creative brief, when applicable 
  • Write for the digital experience in a way that makes complex financial concepts easy to understand 
  • Collaborate with business partners, UX designers, and usability specialists to provide for a smooth implementation of content deliverables 
  • Be creative, strategic, and good-humored under tight deadlines 
 
  • Geek out over brand guidelines 
  • Incorporate customer feedback, user research, and marketing metrics 
  • Partner with other writers to leverage and share ideas and make recommendations that apply broadly across multiple channels 
  • Use content diagnostic data and applies those insights to improve existing content and develop better content ideas for the future 
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure that content aligns with POVs 
  • Work with legal reviewers to ensure compliance while delivering content with an appropriate customer tone 


Content Strategist Skills: 

  • Ability to write clearly, simply, conversationally 
  • Reasonable understanding of financial services industry and investing 
  • Relationship-building skills and confidence to seek answers within teams, business units, and large organizations 
  • Ability to work independently, quickly, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete tasks under multiple deadlines 
  • Presentation and communication skills 
  • Writing for multiple formats – mobile, long-form articles, video, learning modules, marketing experiences, email 
  • Working knowledge of how to optimize for online search
  • Flexible, agile mindset who can pivot based on what the data is telling us 

Education & Experience: 

  • Applicable undergraduate degree 
  • Financial services experience preferred 
  • 5+ years of writing for digital experiences 
  • UX experience 
  • Journalistic or learning and development experience
