Job Description:

  • This is for a 1 year temporary assignment with potential to extend / convert to full time

Our Fortune 500 Digital Media Client is looking to add a Junior Ad Operations Specialist to their project team. They are located in Dulles, VA. If selected as Jr. Ad Operations Specialist you will support all digital media efforts by owning the execution and generation of advertising campaigns to help achieve monthly/quarterly targets for the Display channel. The job requires daily use of an online ad serving system, managing third-party vendors, troubleshooting issues, extensive MS Excel use and flawless campaign management. 

  • Coordinate operational aspects of advertising placements on mobile and desktop consisting of standard display ad units, programmatic and custom built native/sponsored/branded content executions
  • Execute the set up of several ad campaigns within the client's internal ad server
  • Develop appropriate tracking for banner ad units and other media placements
  • Implement and test floodlight pixels and partner pixels accordingly to ensure accurate tracking of campaigns
  • Set up A/B tests within ad server and report on creative/campaign performance
  • Traffic ad tags to each publisher/vendor in a timely fashion
  • Monitor daily performance of ads to identify and troubleshoot issues with delivery, campaign set up, and/or pixel implementation
  • Provide weekly reporting to understand trends or levers in increasing performance and make recommendations on optimizing campaigns
  • Keep up-to-date with changes and new features within ad server to utilize in campaign set up

Skills/Experience :

  • At least 1-2 years working experience in online advertising industry and/or ad operations role
  • Deep knowledge of any Ad Server system (DoubleClick, Adobe Campaign Manager, DFP, openX, adcolt, AdTech...)
  • Understanding of campaign hierarchy and ad operations
  • Understanding of campaign tracking mechanisms and ad/web technologies
  • Outstanding problem solving skills and familiar with data analysis
  • Good cross-functional communication skills, attention to detail and great team player
  • Proficient MS Excel Skills
    • Must have a strong understanding of formulas, v-Lookups, & Pivot Tables
