IBM Brand Experience & Design (BXD) is responsible for the strategic strength and sophistication, evolution and expression of the overall IBM brand and any branded efforts across every experience and encounter, internally and externally. We represent and support all IBM businesses and groups horizontally and vertically. Our work crosses nearly every category of output: research and strategy, communications and content development, symbology and systems, digital and physical experiences, tools and training. Our goal is to continuously manifest and maintain modernity, attracting new audiences, associations and postitive brand attributions to IBM. As part of the IBM Brand Experience & Design team, this individual will work in closely with Mike Abbink, ECD, IBM Distinguished Designer to manifest the most modern expressions of the IBM brand.
We are looking for a collaborative, conceptual thinker to join our team, to help guide the development, evolution and expansion of our new design ethos across all applications. This individual would work side-by-side within our team, with other designers, directors, and multiple discipline groups across IBM. We are looking for someone who is in all aspects of the role as innovative in their process as finished products or polished projects. Someone who is meticulous in their work and has an extremely strong work ethic. He/she will help expand BXD’s impact and influence, and increase executional excellence.
• Be a major contributor on the IBM Brand Experience & Design team with a specific focus on the design, development and delivery of IBM Design’s ethos. • Work closely with Design leadership to ensure high-quality output from all participants. • Work across all design “Practices” and teams to help guide expression and execution. • Effectively manage to production plans and timelines, as determined by the BXD team. • Distinquish good design from bad, careless from well-conceived and crafted. • Consistently exceeding experiences previously created. Requirements: • Extensive experience leading a design, production and agency partner teams. • Minimum Experience: 4-6 years multi-disciplinary experience, identity, print, digital, systems, etc. • Applications: Sketch, Principle, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office.
