Job Description:

We have an exciting part time, flexible 10-15 hour per week Social Media Specialist opportunity combination of in-office and remote. This is with a leading, Fortune 500 CPG company and they would love somebody who comes with experience in creating food, cooking and lifestyle content.

The Social Media Specialist is an experienced worker who will act as the primary voice of one of our many brands on a variety of social media platforms and as a bridge between the brand and the consumer. They will grow the social media platforms through frequent, relevant, brand-right social media conversations and content that increase loyalty to and engagement with the company's brands, with a focus on the brand. They will help refine marketing strategies by sharing insights and perspectives mined through daily interactions in social media. In addition to campaign-specific executions that are part of an integrated effort, this person will also craft the daily content calendar, as well as continuing to shape a meaningful social media strategy that aligns with the brand’s objectives. 

Main Responsibilities: 

Social Media Content Planning: 
• Develop and manage editorial calendars for the brand’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube and others 
• Partner with integrated marketing team to plan brand’s platform and brand marketing strategies and campaigns that leverage social media 
• Develop compelling organic and paid content to engage targeted consumer groups 

Social Media Content Execution And Conversation Management: 
• Write the majority of content for the brand’s social media platforms, using established brand personality and identity 
• Work with cross-functional teams to estimate, source and create multimedia content for the brand’s social media platforms 
• Monitor social media on a daily basis and engage in conversations on behalf of the brand when appropriate, collaborating with internal teams to craft responses when appropriate Social media reporting 
• Mine social media conversations for business-relevant consumer and product insights, and share those insights with brand and integrated marketing teams 
• Create weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on social media activities to show progress and communicate insights that inform marketing strategies and campaigns Social business development 
• Help grow the social media function at the company. Collaborate with other community engagement team members to develop and share best practices for social media engagement across the company's organization 

• Bachelor's Degree 
• At least 4 years of experience planning and creating social media content and conversations on behalf of a brand or organization 
• Experience managing creative partners to develop creative content 
• Experience collaborating with integrated teams and developing integrated marketing strategies 
• Strong creative writer, with ability to think strategically 
• Comfortable extracting relevant insights from social media data to communicate results and refine strategies 
• Strong people skills and able to effectively manage community criticism 
• Strong collaborator; able to quickly track down answers for community questions 
• Creates content for social media on a regular basis 
• Early adopter of new technologies 
• Exhibits curiosity and desire to learn 
• Interested in food, cooking and lifestyle content 
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation 
• Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity; self-directed
