DIGITAL AND PRINT PRODUCTION ARTIST
This is a long term ongoing freelance position based onsite in SF, 40 hours/week. Our global beauty client is looking for a strong Production Artist with both Digital and Print experience! This is a great opportunity to work on omnichannel marketing projects. They need someone who understands how to work on all the socials, etc in Photoshop - quickly and accurately following their style guide and other design direction. Also someone able to work on print when needed but the main role will be digital.
>Understand and execute digital and/or print projects from BRIEF/PASS OFF to press date
>Master and maintain coherent production processes from campaign to campaign
>Own edit and review activity with Program Managers for all digital and print mechanicals
>Follow and adhere to strict print schedules, keeping managers, creative and art directors apprised of production concerns
>Resolve day to day production issues including technical issues, best practices and communication with the Creative, Project Management and VM teams
>Proactively collaborate with Managers, Senior Art Directors and Senior Designers ensuring seamless interface between Creative goals and final mechanicals
>Traffic as necessary requisite project materials between creative director, retouchers, and project manager, with an understanding of desired final results
>Actively manage, support and refer to server archive containing all fixture dielines and templates.
>Continue to understand, manage and enforce file server processes and conventions as they develop
>Manage, prepare, and release files and images for proofing as they come into the creative department
>Consistently displays mastery of prepress using QC and releases all collateral, fixture, out of home, catalog as necessary to ensure and maintain zero defect on press
>Manages a productive and responsible daily schedule with regard to current and future project milestones and deadlines
>Communicates and updates managers and stakeholders regarding progress of projects through release
>Regularly uses downtime to organize, proactively seek opportunities and prepare for upcoming projects
