Job Description:

This person will work on both Media and Social for the overall Houston market. 

Per client: should have strong media skills, including pitching to media, understand the Houston landscape, understand social/digital, and have good writing skills. 
Do not need to have previous energy experience; 
Should have 7+ year experience plus a degree; community relations experience preferred. 

In support of Houston community/employee engagement efforts (approximately $9 million is spent in Houston on social investment/community engagement activities annually –

Development and execution of strategic, integrated communication plan for Houston (internal/external) 
Development and oversight of strategic social media plan for Houston in support of brand visibility, SI work, political strategy
Communication strategy development and hands-on support for all large-scale Houston activities and sponsorships  
Lead on all email communications to the Houston workforce (Houston Happenings, Volunteer Voice, special events, etc.) 
Communications role on the Houston Regional Crisis Management Committee 

Oversight of the Energy IQ program for Houston 
Main point of contact (POC) for large-scale corporate events, such as the annual employee town hall 
Main POC for executive events, such as the Board visit, town hall, etc.
