Job Description:

Our global client is seeking a UX Architect to add to their growing team. The UX Architect is responsible for ensuring a consistent user experience and application of company standards across the business domain. This critical role will play a key part in defining, shaping and creating physical and digital solutions by delivering outstanding user- centered designs. The User Experience Architect will support and report to UX Managers and will work with a multi-discipline design team as well as major stakeholders from the business and engineering. 

The job of the UX Architect is to provide consistency and vision to products within a business domain area. The UX Architect is responsible for coordinating multiple projects to ensure consistent user experience and application of company standards across the business domain. This critical role will play a key part in defining, shaping and creating physical and digital solutions by delivering outstanding user-centered designs. The User Experience Architect will support and report to UX Managers and will work with a multi-discipline design team as well as major stakeholders from the business and engineering. 

Responsibilities 
● Work with product leadership to gain commitments to Design Thinking maturity. Facilitate stakeholder check-ins, provide opportunities for team Design Thinking activities, track and measure outcomes. 
● Clearly articulate the UX process and how design works collaboratively with the cross- functional team. 
● Provide input on plans for delivery and release schedules for the UX disciplinary track. Plan and coordinate inputs from team resources, including IxDs, researchers, visual designers, content writers and other contributors 
● Perform competitive analysis, market assessments and heuristic evaluations 
● Ability to quickly capture and assimilate information from a variety of sources; responsible for translating business requirements and user needs into innovative design solutions that are engaging, valuable and usable. 
● Distill goals, constraints and risks into a design vision and well thought-out plans. Prioritize tasks, manage expectations, mitigate risks and offer creative approaches to achieving design solutions even in the context of challenging constraints. 
● Create artifacts to communicate the recommended user experience to internal stakeholders and development teams - such as project briefs, presentations, user flows, site maps, taxonomies, wireframe specifications 
● Collaborate with user research on activities like usability studies to understand customer behavior, refine design approaches, and validate solutions. Strategize with team members and product managers to take action on research findings. 
● Brainstorm, research, wireframe, design, and iterate user experiences within specified product requirements and deadlines. 
● Work closely with a cross-functional team that includes developers, system architects, product managers, subject matter experts and program managers.

Qualifications 
● 7+ years of experience in user interface design, information architecture, interaction design, human factors, and other related UX disciplines. 
● MA/MS degree in Design, HCI, CS, or a related field or equivalent work experience 
● Must have a strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables 
● 10+ years of experience in user interface design, information architecture, interaction design, human factors, and other related UX disciplines.

Principal UX Arch 
Senior Principal UX Architect 

Technical Skills 
Demonstrated proficiency in these areas: 
● UX prototyping experience with tools like Axure, Sketch 
● Creating user journeys, personas, scenarios, navigational maps, flow diagrams, wireframes and prototypes 
● Planning and running usability testing and synthesizing the results into actionable recommendations 
● Agile practices and Design Thinking principles. 
● Working knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics. 
● Interest in tracking user metrics to inform design decisions. 
● Mobile design (native & web) experience preferred. 
● Experienced and comfortable working with Agile development teams 
● Maintain expert level knowledge of competitive products & experiences
