Job Description:

This is an on-site temp to hire role. 6-12 temp then possible conversion to permanent.

 

Directs the production and translations of a wide variety of collateral materials and premiums that support sales, marketing, product promotion, membership acquisition and retention, intra-company communication, health education, community relations, and other processes essential to the organization.

Defines specifications, procures vendor bids, recommends production methods to achieve best results at lowest cost, manages relationships with many various vendors, expedites and manages crisis projects.

Manages meeting Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) requirements within the Marketing Communications Department, working with staff in the Supplier Diversity, Sales and Account Management, and Marketing Communications departments, among others, to help comply with the region's commitments.

 

Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, design communications, marketing or related field OR four (4) years of directly related experience required. 
High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. 

Ten years of experience as a full-time production manager in a fast-paced team environment using current electronic/internet/software technologies to produce a wide range of print and non-print materials required. 
Five years experience working with and purchasing from various vendors associated with the production of materials required. 
Five years experience managing production processes. 

Additional Requirements: 
Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills required. 
Demonstrated problem-solving and program-management skills required. 
Experience in both the PC and Macintosh platform required. 
Strong computing skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. 
Familiarity in Adobe Creative suite products, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required. 
Excellent organizational and management skills required. 
Ability to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment required. 
Familiarity with health care, organizational communications, media relations, advertising, marketing communications, and related spheres of professional communication experience required. 
Demonstrated understanding of Web and print design and production. 
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under deadline pressure. 
Demonstrated strong project and time management skills. Must track multiple deadlines and fiscal elements of assigned projects. 
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a marketing department on a team with other professional communicators. 

Hands-on experience managing the design process is preferred. 
Polished presentation skills required, along with the ability to persuade and create consensus preferred. 
Certified Project Management or Six Sigma certification preferred.
