Job Description:

We are looking for a highly-efficient Creative Project Manager to work for Aquent Studios Agency (ASA) supporting one of our largest Energy clients. At ASA, the PM is responsible for successful creative delivery of projects, creation of project estimates, developing timelines and budgets, and managing day-to-day activities on a diverse variety of projects. The PM will be tasked with translating client creative requests into project plans and deliverables that could include print, digital, video, presentations, or other creative outlets. Video knowledge and experience would be a plus!

As an ASA PM, you must be an excellent communicator, an enthusiastic and proactive problem solver who works well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and someone who thrives on being engaged at all levels of the project, possessing an extreme sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability to see a project through from start to finish.

The role works collaboratively with other Aquent Studios disciplines within a centrally-managed agency—primary locations in Boise, Eastlake, Houston, Minneapolis, Philadelphia and Seattle. Disciplines would include Design, Production, Copywriting, Motion Graphics and Project Management.

Project Management

  • Work directly with client teams to understand project request, gather requirements, define objectives, deliverables and delivery dates, plan resources and develop a clear and actionable project plan

  • Write clear and detailed project briefs for the ASA Creative team, and answer any internal and external questions

  • Efficiently and effectively manage day-to-day problems, and communicate effectively in difficult and time sensitive situations. Understand when (and why) to escalate issues. Facilitate meetings, and ensure the team receives clear direction for next steps

  • Have an understanding of Aquent Studios and Client specific operational management systems and tools (estimating, financial tracking, time tracking, project timeline applications, etc.) adjusting the tools and resources as required to effectively manage each project [important to know Aquent Studios using several tools, use them differently based on client AND often use various client platforms]

  • Deliver multiple, often concurrent projects: error free, on time or early, on or under budget, all while meeting or exceeding creative objectives and expectations

  • Possess knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and ownership/management of ASA QA processes

Relationship Management

  • Proven ability to motivate and create positive team environments — both internal and external

  • Day-to-day client point-of-contact for all project related tasks, proactively setting and manage client expectations on an ongoing basis throughout a project [expectation is PM can scope majority of projects independently]

  • Build strong working relationships with internal and client team members, establishing a role as a trusted resource and advisor

Innovative Thinking

  • Have a deep understanding of Client’s business and the industry in which they compete

  • Contribute to internal work by supporting innovation and pursuing opportunities on behalf of ASA’s Clients that go beyond the obvious or accepted minimum solution

Specific Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a fast-paced agency environment or high volume internal creative department managing multiple creative projects simultaneously, with a proven ability to use analytical, innovative and quick-on-your-feet thinking to deliver major projects on time and on budget

  • File and asset management in a shared server environment with strong understanding of required asset type by final deliverable

  • Production Management (Print/Digital) experience from a Creative Agency; working closely with Design/Creative teams, and an understanding of the different specifications and processes for print and digital design production is highly preferred

  • Recent experience with project management tool(s) that includes maintenance of key project details and budgets/estimates while managing assignments and schedules for team members

  • Knowledge of abilities and limitations of Adobe Creative Cloud applications

  • Experience with multi-channel environment: print, digital, presentation, video, content management

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills [PPT for internal and client presentations, Excel for organizing/analyzing data and Word for SOW development]

  • Experience managing design and creative process ensuring that the ASA team provides both high-quality and cost effective deliverables while upholding the client’s brand standards and acting as a brand steward

  • Excellent attention to detail is a must; as you will be responsible for quality control of assets

  • Experienced with oversight of third party relationships, including Print, Media, Photography, Video, and Localization providers as well as ongoing vendor management

  • Effective negotiation and problem solving skills required

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment
