Job Description:

The core competence of the Content Marketing Manager will be superior writing and content creation skills. This person will participate in the creation of the company’s content marketing strategy and then work collaboratively with the rest of the marketing management team to oversee execution, with the overall goal of generating qualified leads. 

Primary Objectives 
 Produce and distribute high quality content to establish  as the dominant thought leader in the industry. 
 Produce and/or oversee production of content required to execute the company’s marketing plan. 
 Achieve consistent improvements in defined digital marketing metrics, including open rates, click rates, conversions, leads, MQLs (marketing qualified leads), and SQL’s (sales qualified leads). 
 Assist in the creation of a “content production culture”  wherein employees are encouraged to submit ideas for various content pieces. 
 Assist in the advancement of the company’s social media marketing efforts. 

Specific Responsibilities 
Produce content for digital and other marketing purposes, including but not limited to website content, blogs, whitepapers, case studies, eBooks, webinars, traditional brochures, direct mail pieces, print ads, tradeshow presentations, and more. 
 Research & keep abreast of industry changes, updates, developments & hot topics in order to produce relevant & compelling content. 
 Participate in the creation of the company’s overall marketing plan and strategy, then execute the plan collaboratively with the marketing management team. 
 Identify new opportunities to create brand awareness via content placement in the market. 
 Develop relationships with key industry thought leaders (both internally & externally) to source as subject matter experts during content creation. 
 Provide editing support for other content producers throughout the company, including webinar descriptions, newsletters, blog posts and client communications and education. 
 Assist in the development of reports to track progress and measure results. 
 Present status updates in marketing and/or other company meetings as requested. 
 May occasionally attend tradeshows, conferences, and other industry events. 
 Develop & maintain an ongoing content calendar that aligns with the overall marketing strategy. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, or other related discipline. 
  • Superior copywriting and editing skills; highly detail oriented. 
  • Experience with/ability to manage multiple content creation projects simultaneously. 
  • Desire and ability to be part of a highly collaborative marketing team. 
  • Experience writing for various social media sites to generate traffic, build followers, and ultimately generate qualified sales leads. 
  • Proven ability to connect marketing strategy with marketing execution through content. 
  • 5+ years progressive experience in a copywriting and/or marketing content creation role. 
  • Experience in the staffing or recruiting industry strongly preferred
