Job Description:

Our large consulting client in New York is looking for a Senior UX Designer/Researcher to join their Technology team to help to design a new portfolio vision and a road map (based on a set of user needs and priorities they've identified through extensive user research at the Firm). This person will design and execute a set of Test & Learn experiments in order to identify the most viable set of solution options.

Role Description 
• You will be a key member of the Technology portfolio team, working closely with the team to structure and conduct "Test & Learn" experiments that aim to test the fit and viability of various communication and collaboration tools in the context of the clients' specific use cases and scenarios. For example, you may be tasked with surfacing insights from early  tests of Slack with client service teams 
• Your primary goal will be to help the team identify the optimal set of technology solutions that meet the needs of our consulting colleagues 
• You will be responsible for framing key questions, creating research plans to address those, conducting user research, and synthesizing the findings into meaningful, actionable insights 
• You may also be creating professional-level deliverables such as research findings, personas, journey maps, workflows, and wireframes, that clearly and persuasively communicate the UX strategy and findings and the reasoning behind it 
• You will serve as the 'voice of the user' and be an active thought partner in shaping the vision for the TCC ecosystem of solutions and services 

Required Skills 
• Minimum 6+ years of experience planning, conducting, and communicating the findings from user research for digital products and services 
• Deep knowledge of an array of user research methodologies 
• Ability to frame key questions, create research plans to address those, conduct research, and synthesize the findings into meaningful, actionable insights 
• Ability to design and conduct usability studies - i.e. identify potential solution options for a stated user need and design experiments that help elicit the most viable solution for users 
• Strong ability to generate and communicate compelling & actionable insights, both verbally and visually 
• Comfort working with both technical & product owner teams 
• Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty 
• Strong problem solver with ability to quickly pivot, based on new findings lead or change in project direction 
• Ability to navigate multiple stakeholder groups and influence others 

Additional/Preferred Competencies 
• Passion for defining and solving problems 
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and define tasks needed to bring clarity 
• Understanding of "how our consultants work" 
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation 
• Experience in managing communications with users and stakeholders 
• Familiarity with cloud-based unified communication/collaboration solutions, e.g., Slack, Skype for Business and other similar tools
