Product Copywriter

Start Date:  ASAP

Assignment Length:  3 Months

Location:  San Francisco, CA

Pay Rate:  $27/hour


As a Product Copywriter you will gather product information from merchants, product designers, packaging information, seasonal toolkits and product samples to create the product copy that will appear across the website in the US, EU, and Canada.. You will ensure that all content is accurate and consistent in terms of frequency, style, brand and tone.. This position will also be in charge of managing, and streamlining the product copy process, including managing timelines and working with production team to format copy for various site platforms.


This is a role for someone with sharp writing skills, an eye for details, an ability to manage themselves and to work with multiple teams across departments and meet established deadlines.  An interest in fashion is a plus!  While you’ll primarily be working on product copy, you may also collaborate on everything from social media, emails, our blog or various other special projects within the company that involve words.



  • Develop highly effective, original, SEO enhanced, and targeted product descriptions, features and benefits
  • Maintain copy consistency within a category or brand throughout all eCommerce sites
  • Work cross functionally with the eCommerce team to update the product content across all partner websites
  • Organize information coming from various channels into a functional database
  • Manage timelines for all eCommerce product copy needs (globally and cross channel)
  • Attend showroom walkthroughs, line reviews, design meetings and merchant reviews to translate themes of the season into product descriptions
  • Document eCommerce Product Copy creation process
  • Serve as point person for all product copy related needs/requests from various parties
  • Serve as copy editor that reviews/edits product copy written by copywriters
  • Be comfortable working with excel/google sheets
  • Update and filter information when product information changes or edits occur
  • Receive feedback from multiple teams and implement changes in a timely manner
  • Research products to discover benefit-focused product details for online content
  • Maintain, update and utilize database/content management system for all product copy
  • Write blog posts, web content and other copy as needed related to web and eCommerce
