Job Description:

Under the direction of the Senior Designer,  the Copywriter will be responsible for creating persuasive writing to promote the sale of our client's and services through different media channels. This position will work closely with the creative and marketing teams to stylize value propositions into copy that effectively influences consideration, builds trust and loyalty for our brand throughout our markets to increase and secure market share. 

Duties and Responsibilities 
• Drive the creation of engaging and consistent brand voice and marketing language that uniquely targets health care professionals, patients and consumers 
• Write copy for digital and social media, marketing campaigns, new product launches and other materials 
• Write engaging, promotional stories for publications, including but not limited to: Newsletters,  e-news, and websites 
• Write effective advertising headlines and copy for B2B trade journals as well as direct to consumer publications that will result a measurable response 
• Script writing and story boarding for projects including but not limited to: animations, videos, mp3/podcasts, presentations/webinars, and tours 
• Contribute to online content strategy by ensuring all touch points are clear, cohesive, and accessible 
• Tell the company story capturing the attention of target customers and end-users, building awareness, influencing consideration to try, trust, buy-in, grow loyalty, and drive sales 
• Work closely with designers and collaborate cross-functionally as needed to strategically develop the content for each project 
• Fully understand goals and strategic initiatives as specified in the creative brief to deliver the most effective copy 
• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style 
• Work closely with creative to propose design and copy concepts to stakeholders 
• Manage, track, and document all writing projects and progress 
• Conduct research and interviews as needed to obtain and ensure factual information 
• Ability to translate scientific research and product claims into layman’s terms 
• Use writing style guide on the creative server, available to all writers and ensure adherence of all copy style guide by frequently reviewing guidelines as brand messaging evolves 
• Proofread copy to ensure written text is concise, consistent, and both grammatically and factually correct. 
• Adhere to in-house style guide that include organization’s preferred usage and the spelling of certain words. 
• Create copy following the Associated Press Style Guide. 
• Comply with all FDA and legal guidelines, statements, cautions, warnings, and requirements 



• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field required 
• Combination of education and experience considered 

• 5+ years of experience 
• Experience in copywriting 
• Experience in advertising/marketing 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: 
• Knowledge of marketing and advertising principles 
• Knowledge of web and SEO best practices 
• Skills in copy editing 
• Skills in writing in a range of voices and styles for a variety of audiences 
• Skills in translating brand identity and marketing goals into effective copy 
• Skills in brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and execution 
• Skills in Microsoft Office, Acrobat Professional
