Job Description:

JR. CONTENT EDITOR

START DATE: ASAP

CONTRACT: 3 MONTHS

LOCATION: BELLEVUE, WA

PAY:  $20/HR

** A FORTUNE 500 RETAIL COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL JR. CONTENT EDITOR! **

 

OVERVIEW:

Working with a team that edits content for ground transfers, tours, attractions, and other in-market activities (i.e., Things to Do tab on the website). The Content Editor needs to have extensive editing experience and must be able to communicate feedback in a constructive manner.           

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Edit and provide feedback while adhering to in-house style guidelines

Work closely with the Supply teams to ensure quality content while meeting daily deadlines

Communicate writing concepts to non-writers

Maintain flexibility with changing projects and fluctuating deadlines

Assist in meeting overarching content goals by handling additional tasks as they arise

 

MUST HAVE:

Bachelor's degree in English or a related area of study

Professional editing experience

Experience in a corporate setting

Capable of functioning in an ambiguous environment with ever-changing expectations

Able to communicate with writers whose native language is not English

Must exhibit strong editing skills on a consistent basis

Must be able to use judgment as to whether writing needs heavy or light editing

Proficient with Microsoft Office—specifically Word and Outlook

Knowledge of AP style with a willingness to learn our unique voice and style

Ability to be flexible and responsive

Evidence of meeting deadlines and delivering quality work

Professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, self-direction, initiative and drive
