Job Description:

Our client, the largest beauty retailer in the world is seeking a contract Production Artist for their Downtown San Francisco office. The ideal candidate should be versed in both digital and print production work.

Full-time 40 hours(+/-) week 
Mac based 
Heavy Indesign, some Illustrator, light Photoshop 

Projects can include: 
Instore - Window Creative, Fixture Creative and Updates - including panels and shelf strips, Store Posters 

Outside Store - Print Advertising, Subscription packaging, Mail Promotions 

Duties include, but are not strictly limited to: 
-Understand and execute desktop print projects from BRIEF to press date. 
-Edit and review all collateral, fixture, out of home, catalog and instore digital mechanicals. 
-Follow and adhere to strict print schedules keeping creative and art directors apprised of production concerns with key dates. 
-Resolve day to day production issues including technical issues, best practices and communication with the Creative, Project Management and VM teams. 
-Support creative with design execution, including Canadian versioning of projects based on US core assets or style guide, and participate in all requisite project planning. 
-Traffic as necessary requisite project materials between creative director, retouchers, and project manager. 
-Understand, manage and enforce file server processes and conventions. 
-Release files for proofing and manage proofs as they come into the creative department. 
-Prepress and release all collateral, fixture, out of home, catalog as necessary to insure Sephora maintains zero defect on press.

>Production Artist needs to know their way around indesign and can turn around a job quickly but is also careful and accurate. 
>Someone who likes to figure things out 
>Is comfortable asking questions or quickly searching for an answer. 
>Is interested in taking on large scope projects, but can stop to churn out the smaller ones. 
>Is comfortable working with supervisors, creatives and project managers to get the job done. 
>Success requires basic to advanced skills, willingness to learn, a positive attitude and a great work ethic.
