Job Description:

Manager, Standards & Practices will report to the Vice President of Client's Cable Network group. This position is responsible for reviewing original and acquired programs and movies for standards and practices for the young adult TV channel. This young adult TV channel connects to audiences and goes beyond entertainment with bold original programming and immersive social engagement. As a young adult television and streaming network, it delivers a unique mix of quality original and acquired series, plus fan-favorite movies and holiday events. 


  • Read scripts and communicate S&P notes to creative executives
  • Negotiate to ensure compliance with S&P guidelines
  • Screen rough and final cuts for original and acquired programs and movies
  • Assign parental guidelines / TV ratings
  • Review promos for network acceptability
  • Review online content
  • Review marketing materials 


  • Minimum 5 years in television programming or standards and practices
  • Background must include exposure to network standards and practices
  • Exposure to contemporary primetime and family programming required
  • Knowledge of FCC regulations

Must Haves:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Television experience in standards & practices
  • Ability to think critically and communicate effectively
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once at a fast pace
