The Technical Post Production team with our Client is looking for an Assistant Editor to help with the day to day of the team.
Assistant Editors are responsible for mastering source media (tape and digital) for digital distribution. The mastering process includes, but is not limited to, digitizing and conforming media, processing file-based masters, syncing closed captioning or subtitles, minor video/audio editing, and video/audio QC of final masters to ensure final product meets delivery specifications. Some editing repair work may be needed to get files to spec. This is where editing craft and skill set will come into play. Assistant editors are also responsible for managing media, content, assets, archiving projects, and communicating project status to stakeholders.
Experience with photo editing, color correction, and composition is a plus. A background in audio is also a plus. Client is looking for individuals who can bridge the gap between creative and tech.
