Aquent's Fortune500 client in Northbrook, IL is looking for a Sr. UX Copywriter for a 6 month assignment (40hrs 5 days, onsite) with potential to extend beyond. Candidate will need to be able to go to downtown Chicago for the first 2-3 months of training.

As a Senior UX Writer at the company, you will be part of a growing team of digital innovators and user experience professionals that want to make an impact and help people manage their health by designing experiences that meet user goals and exceed expectations. Your empathy for people—customers, patients, caregivers—informs your decisions; your entrepreneurial spirit makes you the ultimate problem solver; your creativity leads you beyond tired constraints and inspires others; and your passion for technology and design connects you to the universe of innovation around us and can only be matched by your desire to deliver great user experiences.

Why we need you
In this specific role, you will be at the forefront of our Digital transformation to a hyper-agile product design and development process. In partnership with an external agency that is guiding us through this transformation, you will be implementing a new agile-like process by which we will deliver better products, faster.
You will be part of a talented cross-functional team (product, design, and engineering) working on one of our most strategic initiatives. In addition to delivering this project, one of your key responsibilities will include bringing your knowledge back to our team to educate and train more team members, as we plan to incrementally increase the number of projects following this new process.

Who we’re looking for
In order to be successful in this role, you need to be a well-rounded UX writer who can solve complex business challenges while being an advocate of the user. This position requires deep understanding of large scale web and mobile initiatives, user-centered design, usability, information design, interaction design, and goal-oriented design. Your informed recommendations and content strategies will leverage best practices, user feedback, brand direction and usability test results to develop intelligent and impactful messaging, standards and interactive content. You have experience writing for many channels and devices at once and good ideas on how best to serve these different contexts without rewriting every channel message. You are able to conduct user interviews and leverage various methods to uncover user needs. You know how to collaborate with designers and product managers to enhance clarity of messaging and optimize content throughout the product lifecycle. Finally, you exhibit impeccable communication skills that you leverage to ensure smooth and efficient collaboration with your other team members and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience (5+ preferred) in UX writing, with experience working with cross- functional teams (IT, Product, Research, etc).

• Experience with agile and lean software development practices is highly preferred.
• Experience using Sketch and InVision.
• Experience with CMS tools such as ATG, Joomla, Nuxeo or other
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility and writing for grade level and other regulatory constraints
• Ability to commute daily to Chicago Loop during the first 2-3 months.
