Job Description:

Are you passionate about experience driven design and web development? We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented individual who has a creative background in UI development/design. Aquent is currently sourcing for a Front-End Developer courtesy of our client local to the Minneapolis, MN. You’ll support and extend running applications and design and develop new applications. You will also be expected to evaluate and refactor in a rapid manner for every part of our clients’ infrastructure. Overall knowledge of designing an application to run on a scalable platform is expected.

Responsibilities: 

  • Continuous education on any updates or advancements in the development industry as well as any advancements in Technology​
  • Responsible for writing code and working with basic Scrum protocols (iteration planning, retrospectives, showcases, design sessions)
  • ​Effective collaboration with designers and back-end developers to continue to improve the overall functionality and user-friendliness of all web applications
  • ​Develop prototypes, mock-ups, and staging sites for user review and feedback
  • ​Participate in the UI development by creating and optimizing graphic prototype websites and application interfaces using HTML and CSS, as well as, SASS with CSS3 for designing purposed
  • ​Create prototype concepts via Axure, Photoshop, and Illustrator concept designs for cross-platform devices
  • Preferred experience with JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks and CSS

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a Front-End Development role
  • 3+ years of experience working in a UI Development role 
  • Experience working with in an Agile environment
  • ​Excellent communication skills to ensure effective communication with designers
  • Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and web oriented architectures
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred, but not required (or equivalent professional experience)
