Job Description:

Materials Management (MMI) partners with the Commercial organization through providing thought partnership, compliant operations, and delivering actionable insights for promotional materials. In addition to effective and efficient management and analysis of the promotional materials and business processes, incumbents in the Marketing Operations Manager role will provide analytics and contribute to departmental initiatives wherever possible. As the subject matter expert they will recommend best practices, economies of scale and implement standard processes, tools and templates to manage marketing fulfillment and other operations more effectively. 

Accountabilities and Responsibilities: 

• Build strong partnerships and proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to share expertise, provide recommendations and ensure availability to the field of compliant promotional materials 
• Proactively manage the business process with internal & external partners involved in the planning, approval, production, delivery and lifecycle of promotional materials for the assigned business units or other operations 
• Works with stakeholders and business unit in order to forecast for new or existing promotional materials 
• Perform analyses, with a focus on identifying insights that support the planning and decision making process related to brand promotional spend and operations 
• Provide outstanding customer service to all internal and external partners, stakeholders and vendors 
• Participate in process improvement projects or other endeavors that enhance and streamline departmental systems, tools and other resources compliance with all client laws, regulations and policies 
• Work collaboratively, effectively and efficiently with all internals, and customers 
• Participate as and when needed or otherwise appropriate, in cross-functional or other project teams, helping the overall business of the client to continuously evolve, improve and excel 

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following competencies critical to this FOIM role: 

• Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicates and partners with internal and external stakeholders to gain agreement on business objectives & the action plan to achieve them 
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Contributes to the performance of the entire team, actively collaborates within and beyond FOIM to design and ensure buy-in around solutions 
• Process: Consistently implements all FOIM protocols, procedures, and standards, works in a structured manner and utilizes systems and tools to optimize own efficiency 
• Analytics: Maintains subject matter expertise with FOIM data sources and tools, and applies this expertise to deliver high quality data and actionable insights to achieve business objectives. 

Who you are: 

• Bachelors degree is required, with a science or business concentration preferred; MBA or other related graduate-level degree is desirable 
• Two or more years work experience in sales or marketing operations, supply chain or other related areas are strongly preferred; ideally some of which has been gained in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other related industry 
• Must demonstrate knowledge of or the aptitude to learn the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
• Knowledge of commercial functions and their inner-workings, such as marketing and sales relevant to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, is strongly preferred 
• Strong analytical capabilities and skills with demonstrable ability to structure and conduct analyses that generate insights and recommendations 
• Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, past-paced environment 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in interacting with senior leadership 
• Knowledge and proficiency in reporting and data analytics tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Qlik, Tableau, Spotfire 
• Must demonstrate knowledge of or the aptitude to learn the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
• Proven track record of collaborative work relationships and for consistently meeting or exceeding targets and goals 
• Can influence others without authority 
• Business travel, by air or car, is required for regular internal and external business meetings
