Job Description:

Our healthcare client is hiring a Production Designer with Remediation skills to join their internal agency. Accessibility standards set forth by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act require all electric documents be accessible to everyone, including individuals who have disabilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced but collaborative environment. Finalizes design projects, may suggest improvements and modify formats to increase quality of production and ensure that standards are met. Have strong typography skills. Proficient at scaling, cropping, retouching, re-positioning, tagging, and pre-flight design activities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provides branding direction and adherence to standards, maintains templates and guidelines 
  • Edits/optimizes brand photography that is brand appropriate and cost effective 
  • Focused and flawless development building production files is a priority. Works directly with the designers/production team to output proofs as well as collect and deliver final files. 
  • Contribute to conceptual thinking, designing layouts 
  • Maintains quality checks on all pieces 
  • Works with all levels of Creative Leadership to ensure technical quality and continuity 
  • Delivers tasks on time and on budget 

Requirements:

Skills and Knowledge Required: 

  • Basic knowledge of Word and Powerpoint 
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Pro 
  • Working with various graphic formats for print and web, knowledgeable of optimal format to use 
  • Knowledge of HTML 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design principles: layout, color theory, typography 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Extreme attention to detail 
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines 
  • Ability to tag within pdf document 

Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • Professional with 2-4 years of experience in creative design (print and digital) production experience 
  • Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design or equivalent 
  • Experience with design principles of color, branding, & typography 
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Flash Design software 
  • Proficiency using a MAC operating system 
  • Previous experience with remediating documents preferred
