Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Copywriter with experience and verifiable success in all forms of media and channels in digital collateral, web content, email, and some print. Copywriters must have previous experience in the banking and/or financial services industries. The Copywriter will write, proofread, and edit in a highly collaborative environment working with marketing managers, art directors, designers, and production managers and will execute copywriting tasks from initial concept to final release. This role is within a creative services team that operates like an in-house agency and is fast paced and deadline driven so previous experience within this type of environment is a must. The work is long and short form copywriting from articles and content writing for website regarding lending and savings products. The Copywriter will need to ensure that content is not getting stale and will need to be familiar with SEO and keyword searches. This Copywriter role will start off as 20 hours a week but will quickly ramp up to 40 hours a week. This Copywriter role is mainly offsite with the potential to be onsite during client meetings.

Copywriter Responsibilities: 
• Write and evaluate online copy, recommend changes and approve as final 
• Participate in review of jobs at all stages 
• Set direction for client meetings and secure critical information 
• Take a concept or theme and develop copy that will achieve business goals 
• Have a clear understanding of the objective and demographics of the market 
• Adhere to brand standards and guidelines 
• Collaborate with art director and designers to produce the most compelling combination of images, design and language 
• Sell concepts, strategies, and direction to senior management 
• Work with junior writers on team to provide them with direction 
• May be assigned other writing tasks 

• Experience in the banking/financial industry 
• Minimum of five years of advertising short and long form copywriting experience 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word or equivalent 
• Have an understanding of general advertising practices and SEO 
• Knowledge of design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel 
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
• Strong strategic skills
