Job Description:

Position Overview 
This is an exciting opportunity to help our client's company grow its digital marketing applications. The Product Owner will work with business stakeholders in defining the vision and road map for our interactive marketing sites, web programs, and marketing applications directed towards our field as well as end consumers.

The Product Owner is a passionate advocate and doer who will see a vision through to completion. He or she engages with stakeholders, captures and evaluates their input, prioritizes and works closely with an Agile development team to ensure work execution meets expectations. 

Responsibilities 
Articulate, elicit and inspire others to execute and support a compelling product vision and strategy 
Clearly draw and articulate the boundaries of that vision while providing enough latitude for an Agile team to creatively solve problems 
Determine and articulate Minimum Viable Product. That is, identify those portions of an overall vision that are minimally necessary to achieve the objectives. 
Create, maintain, and prioritize an Agile teams work backlog 
Be available and act as final arbiter to an Agile team on questions 
Construct and communicate an Agile team’s product release plan to stakeholders. 
Plan for and facilitate planning sessions 
Collaborate with other Product Owners to manage inter-team dependencies 
Elicit customer and stakeholder feedback on the quality and accuracy of delivered product features 
Remain current in profession and industry trends 
Performs other duties as assigned 

 

Requirements:

Required Experience 
5+ years relevant experience in leading teams to create effective marketing web sites, user interfaces, and client-focused, device-agnostic applications 
5+ years relevant business experience and/or previous Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar experience 
Experience in user experience (UX) design a plus 
Experience in insurance and/or financial service industries a plus 
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager a plus.

Proven negotiation, influence and collaboration skills 
Proven ability in the area of creative facilitation and encouragement of innovation

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business associates 
Proven ability to make or facilitate effective decisions as they relate to an Agile team’s product delivery 
Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process/procedure improvement 
Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment
