Job Description:

Aquent is seeking a UX Designer to work a 6 month assignment with a high likelihood of extension with our Fortune 500 partner. Prior experience with UX research is strongly preferred. 

- Provide interaction designs and leads usability/competitive research to create user experience specifications supporting small and large projects, as well as corporate key initiatives 
- Provide design estimates to project teams 
- Maintain a strong understanding of design fundamentals and methodology, as applied to applications providing original ideas and new approaches to each project 
- Manage customer feedback across departments through research and enhancements that drive ongoing design improvements 
- Demonstrate an understanding of the position and serve as a resource to peers and companion work groups 
- Contribute to user specifications including work flows/process diagrams, wireframes and high fidelity design comps detailing designs and business rationale from concept to final design 
- Contribute to user requirements and analysis, competitive research, conceptual modeling, customer interviews and usability testing including preparing test plans, script writing and other forms of requirements discovery. 
- Prepare report out results and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders 
- Initiate creativity and adhere to interaction/usability, visual and accessibility design guidelines that balance user needs with business/legal requirements 
- Collaborate and participate in building team relationships with other interaction designers to design new features, refine/enhance existing features that required in achieving the goals of the customer and company 
- Contribute to definition of product use cases with project teams and developing product presentations to key stakeholder detailing and documenting interactions and design rationale 
- Prepare, organize, and complete design project tasks of various scope and complexity effectively and efficiently while managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment 
- Maintain detailed documentation, adhering to visual and functional specifications 
- Utilize analytical data to understand online customer behaviors/personas to compliment design rationale and implement changes to improve design decisions and performance results 
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Factors related field preferred 
- 2+ year of experience in the human factors field or in a related design experience field required 
- Effectively communicate and document research findings, conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually interdepartmentally and cross-divisionally required 
- Influence project teams to elicit alignment between customer behaviors and product designs required 
- Experience with design software such as Photoshop, SnagIt, Zeplin, Axure, HTML/XHTML, Microsoft Office product suite, Visio to accomplish assigned tasks preferred 
- Understanding of Agile methodology, Wikis, and have experience in working in an agile delivery team preferred 
- Participates in and seeks out learning opportunities to further develop skills and expand interaction design knowledge and expertise 
- Understanding of Mobile app designer principle preferred 
- Self-starter who is professional, trusting, adaptable, creative, innovative and a strong team player with leadership abilities 
- High school diploma or equivalent required 
- Minimum age of 18 
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
