Job Description:

UX/Web Mobile App Content Writer




 Top Daily Responsibilities: 

 1.        Actively participate in release planning, daily scrum standups, and project definition meetings as needed

 2.       Collaborate with other UI/UX team members and IT partners on developing content that reflects the best marriage of user and business needs on mobile application      platforms

 3.        Create content/editorial solutions that are on brand and meet accessibility/legal/regulatory requirements

 4.        Plan and manage own tasks and project deliverables and coordinate with native mobile UX producer and UX design for completion on time


 Skills a Top Candidate Should Have:        

 1.        Minimum of 3 years creating content for various media (web desktop, native mobile, email, etc.), exercising fundamentals and best practices for the various platforms

 2.        A balance of productive independence on o,cellent communication skills and grammar) that effectively accommodates user, business, technical, brand, legal, accessibility, and UX/UI digital/mobile app industry standards, practices, and requirements

 4.        Technical writing skills for converting complicated processes into clear, concise, logical, and simple directions for non-technical users

 5.        Intermediate use of Microsoft Office business tools, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


 Desired Skills:          

 1.        A basic understanding of responsive web design and native mobile app design

 2.        Familiarity with Mac, Creative Cloud, CMS systems, Rally, and Asana

 3.        Familiarity with agile and waterfall development methodologies

 4. Familiarity with WCAG and CATLAR guidelines

 5. Ability to create content in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements


 Soft Skills:     

 1.        Effective communication, including negotiation and detailed attention to getting your point across clearly and quickly

 2.        Commitment to department and project teams, particularly with regards to mutual dependencies, reciprocal collaboration, and meeting deadlines

 3.        A relaxed relationship with change as well as an ability to adapt quickly and effectively to that change



 Be part of the team that creates and edits content that aligns with the Brand for native mobile platform (not just RWD or web services). Projects may also require any or all of the following under supervision by senior UX Mobile App writers: mobile content strategy in assigned content areas; participation on scrum/agile teams; effective interaction with UX designers, UI developers, application developers, user researchers, product managers, project managers, agile product owners, scrum masters, CMS architects, content entry specialists, and subject matter experts.



 1.        Familiar with the general categories of mobile applications and platforms

 2. Working knowledge of mobile terminology and the standard elements of mobile device interface design

 3.        Ability, with supervision, to create web/mobile application content solutions that support business requirements, user needs and goals, and mobile devices features

 4.        Ability to apply company mobile editorial standards both in terms of tone and usages, as detailed in the web brand guidelines

 5.        A working knowledge of UX methodologies and web development agile/scrum practices

 6.        Ability, with supervision, to present content concepts to project partners and coworkers, including rationale and supporting user research behind content decisions

 7.        Ability to contribute practically to multiple projects, including managing own timelines, tasks, and other identified processes while aligning with other teams’ activities

 8.        Effective participation on cross-discipline teams
