Job Description:

Our client, a Global eCommerce Giant, is looking for a multi-talented visual storyteller who has an understanding of the ever-evolving world of social media, experience creating video content and a ceaseless supply of creativity. The Editorial and Social Content Manager will be responsible for concepting and producing engaging, original and on-brand content for Tips & Ideas and our social channel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Creative Director of Editorial and Senior Manager of Editorial to create editorial and social assets to support brand and social content 
• Collaborate with the Editorial Manager of Social, Brand Social Team, Art Directors, Designers and Copywriters to create branded content 
• Propose creative constructs for series, one-offs and campaign-driven content 
• Manage product samples for content creation from receipt through return 
• Work closely with Editorial Manager of Social to brainstorm, plan, and execute content 
• Concept original video content and execute all aspects of video/motion/animation from pre-production through post-production, including storyboarding, shooting (operating all video and audio equipment, lighting set-up), editing, sound mixing and color correction 
• Be proactive in retrieving and following up on all aspects necessary to get job done and take personal responsibility that all deliverables are high-quality and on-time 
• Ensure quality, consistency and adherence to brand identity in everything produced 
• Regularly review social channels, websites and campaigns of competitors to stay up-to-date on the retail industry 
• Self-direct and manage time effectively across multiple projects adhering to production schedules in a fast-paced environment 
• All other duties as assigned 


• Strong understanding of the internet and passionate user of digital technologies who is curious about the evolution of branded video content 
• 5+ years' experience creating content/video for digital platforms at a brand or digital agency 
• A reel/portfolio of commercial work demonstrating exceptional video/motion/animation produced for client-oriented projects 
• Solid communication skills, including the ability to present and sell your work 
• Ability to work seamlessly and flexibly with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters, Producers, marketing managers and other cross-functional team members 
• Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple projects and adhering to demanding deadlines 
• Keen understanding of the ever-evolving world of social media and branded content applications and functionality 
• Photography and graphic design skills are a plus 
• Experience in retail and great sense of humor also a plus
