Job Description:

Large Entertainment and Consumer Products company in Pasadena is seeking an Email Marketing Associate to join tier team. The Email Marketing Associate will reporting to the Email Marketing Manager, this position will be responsible for the set-up, deployment, QA, and tracking of all Email efforts, with possible support for other tactics within the Guest Retention team. This is a temporary contract with the possibility of extending. 


  • Email execution and campaign set up including: email campaign set up in ESP, list segmentation, list management 
  • Compile email analytic results to uncover trends and shape content strategy for go-forward campaigns, reporting out on a weekly and monthly basis to measure the impact of email against overall marketing efforts 
  • Provide recommendations and plans for revising email campaigns based on email analytics and findings, reviewing the calendar and messaging strategy with an analytical eye 
  • Optimize email programs through continual testing of creative, content, offers, targeting, etc. based on email findings 
  • Partner with Creative to turn all requests into specific mechanical briefs, while allowing Creative Ops to take the lead on project management of process and specific elements 
  • Develop and execute Site messaging and Email calendar for ecommerce sites that aligns with overall marketing strategy and priorities, promotion calendar, and partner initiatives 
  • Work closely with Retail Marketing team to support initiatives for brick and mortar to drive traffic to stores through email 
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and on budget 


  • 2-3 years of marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on Email 
  • Candidate should have hands-on experience with Email Service Provider Platforms: Responsys, CheetahMail, ExactTarget preferred 
  • Basic HTML knowledge to troubleshoot email code a plus 
  • Candidate should be proficient working on Mac & PC platforms as well as most mobile devices including mobile phones, smartphones, PDAs, tablets, handheld computers, portable media players, etc. 
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills 
  • Ability to use data and analytics to assess and inform recommendations on strategies/plans 
  • A team player with a positive can do attitude 
  • Effective relationship building skills 
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and prioritize time 
  • Comfortable working with team members at various levels 
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and analytics dashboards a plus 
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn
