Job Description:

Large Entertainment and Consumer Products company is seeking a temporary Assistant Manager to join their licensing team. The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing one or several sub-categories and the associated licensee base with the goal of meeting or exceeding predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives.

  • Licensee base will be defined with management but directionally focus on small and mid-size licensees 
  • Finance and Business Planning: 
    • Obtain and review quarterly sales forecast information from licensees in order to build quarterly forecast and budget 
    • Responsible for category input within the 5 years strategic plan 
  • Brand and Content Management: 
    • In conjunction with / support of the Franchise team:
      • Ensure timely approvals of licensee’s marketing elements 
      • Provide any licensee /product information in support of marketing and brand presentations and sales meetings 
  • Category management 
    • Identify new business and revenue opportunities. 
    • Assist in defining category and property strategy 
    • For multi-property categories, drive strategic direction for categories assigned to the team by the governance committee and assist in the strategic direction on categories not assigned to the team
    • Manage day today relationship with licensees (inclusive of top 10 licensees)  
    • Support organizing, pitching and selecting licensees
    • Set-up and lead licensee business review 
    • Provide management support in the contract and amendment process 
    • Perform all functions of “Ambassador” for a selection of licensees 
  • Product Development: 
    • Set-up line review with licensees and Product Development team 
    • With the Product Development team approve and maintain line lists 
    • With Sales team define and plan product development for retailer exclusive products 
    • Liaise with Product Development team to ensure timely approval of products which may include: lead meetings; coordinate programs across all categories; review line lists; respond to product development team in the case of OPA submission changes; execute merchandising plans; public relations and advertising coordination. 
    • Prepare product presentations included but not limited to internal line reviews 
    • Ensure licensee product lines reflect brand quality and brand/property objectives. 
  • Retail, Sales and Marketing
    • Provide all needed product and licensee information to the sales and marketing to support retail road shows and presentations 
    • Liaise with Sales Trade Marketing team to define account promotional and marketing plans and ensure licensee participation. 

EDUCATION: BA/BS preferred
