Job Description:

Aquent is currently searching for a Visual Designer (UXD) to join a team in designing web, mobile, and other digital interfaces. The job is part aesthetics and part-puzzle solving, with the aim of creating industry leading client experiences that are integrated across all touch points. The UXD leverages user-centered principles and cohesive visual design to create elegant and intuitive solutions. The UXD will be aware of current web and mobile best practices knowing when to embrace conventions and when it’s appropriate to introduce compelling and original concepts that solve for customer needs and barriers. The UXD will work with senior user experience designers, visual designers, copywriters, developers, marketing and project management in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. 

Work with senior UX team members to understand business models and goals and create design solutions to further those goals 
Solve visual and interaction design problems while maintaining visual consistency and brand identity. Creates wireframes, prototypes, comps and specification documentation with focus on visual cohesion from concept to final hand-off overcoming user, technology, and device constraints. Effectively communicate digital experience, design options and caveats to multi-functional teams using design tools, visual communications, and narrative vision. Ensure design engagements are executed on time and at a high standard. Proactively obtain feedback and information to drive design engagements and decisions. 
Be passionate about brand, marketing, and how they are expressed through digital products and experiences.

o 3-5 year’s experience designing innovative and compelling digital experiences. 
o Outstanding visual design skills with a mastery of fundamental design disciplines such as typography, hierarchy and color 
o Mastery of effective interaction design elements (gestures, transitions and micro interactions) 
o Ability to create relevant documentation (comps) and associated artifacts 
o Highly competent in understanding visual design systems and information design 
o Knowledge of information architecture and responsive design 
o While no HTML or CSS production is required for this position, an understanding and knowledge of underlying technical concepts and front-end development for web is necessary (XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, etc.) 
o Demonstrable fluency with relevant design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, etc.) 
o Know-how of one or more wireframe, prototyping tools (Axure, Dreamweaver, Balsamiq, UXPIN, etc. 
o Meticulous attention to detail. 
o Commitment to client service 
o Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills 
o Ability to manage/organize multiple tasks at once and deliver high-quality output every time, on time 
o Ability to work within project teams in a collaborative, dynamic environment
