Job Description:

Our Client  is seeking a senior product owner to drive delivery of key functionality for our $3 billion, multi-channel e-commerce business including our .com, our mobile apps and other customer-facing experiences. The successful candidate will partner with product managers to translate product strategy into a detailed, prioritized backlog of user stories. Serving as the Product Owner role in the Scrum process, she or he will collaborate with an agile delivery team to implement, measure and learn from the improvements they have made. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Drive Product Delivery 
• Support product strategy by forming a product backlog of features & user stories for use by a Scrum delivery team 
• Articulate requirements for each user story with detailed acceptance criteria 
• Own prioritization of the product backlog constantly optimizing for business value, customer satisfaction, required investment and delivery risk 
• Effectively use data that represents the voice of the customer 
• Be relentless in the pursuit of incremental delivery by looking for ways to meet business goals and learn from customers through frequent, measurable enhancements 
• Work collaboratively and use best practices with the delivery team to support backlog refinement, sprint planning and longer term release planning 

Contribute to Product Quality 
• Be responsible for ensuring completed stories meet acceptance criteria by reviewing test plans, the output of automated testing or, where necessary, contributing to manual testing efforts 
• Assist in investigation and resolution of customer issues and defects 
• Provide support during system outages or emergency situations including occasional 24x7 on-call duties 

Represent and Improve the Product Team 
• Effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and all levels of management 
• Lead in the demonstration of new features to stakeholders 
• Provide direction, mentorship, and coaching to junior Product Owners 
• Provide vendor management oversight as needed 
• Stay current with e-commerce & aviation industry trends and be able to present compelling competitive analysis for feature development 
• Stay current & apply product development & agile delivery practices 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Required 
• 4+ years of experience as a business analyst, product owner or other relevant experience 
• 2+ years working as a Product Owner in partnership with a delivery team using Scrum 
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams successfully 
• Experience using digital analysis tools like Omniture 
• Basic knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS and service-oriented architectures 
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Minimum age of 18 
• Authorized to work in the U.S. 

Strongly Preferred 
• 4+ years working directly with web and mobile e-commerce businesses exceeding $1MM in revenue per year 
• Significant experience working on large CONSUMER e-commerce businesses 
• Knowledge of the airline and/or travel industries and related technologies 
• Deep working knowledge of lean concepts 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
