User Experience Research Assistant 

We're passionately interested in our users and strive to learn everything we can about their goals and needs, attitudes and emotions to help define the products and experiences we create. The User Experience team is a critical driving force behind gathering these insights and then using them to inspire and inform design. We are a multi-disciplinary team of interaction designers, visual designers, user researchers and web developers who collaborate closely with each other and with Engineering and Product Management to create innovative, usable, great-looking products that people love to use. 

As a User Experience Research Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to support our research activities in developing innovative, user-friendly, best-of-breed products. We are looking for individuals who have excellent communication skills, are diligent, detail-oriented, and can work fairly independently. 

Key Responsibilities: 
Observe and run usability testing sessions and interviews 
Prepare research studies with the help of another UX Researchers. Propose research questions and tasks 
Analyze qualitative & quantitative data 
Create results presentations. Integrate recommendations from other UX Researchers into the presentations 
Produce highlight videos 
Present results to key stakeholders 

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: 
-Meet with product team to plan research and write research plan 
-Moderating studies 
-Analyzing and then presenting results to the product team 

Requirements: 
B.A./B.S. (completed) or M.A/M.S./Ph.D. (in progress or completed) in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, Anthropology, Information Science, or other field emphasizing human behavior; or in lieu of a degree, or two years related work experience. 
1 year relevant work experience as Research Assistant or Intern 
Hands-on experience with planning, moderating, and analyzing usability studies 
Excellent observation skills 
Detailed oriented and able to work independently on a variety of tasks 
Strong oral and written communication skills 
Can work independently, prioritize time between multiple projects, and adapt to changing schedules and priorities 

Nice to Have: 
Familiarity with the product development lifecycle 
Knowledge of basic graphic and video editing tools 
Experience with end-to-end services and e-commerce platforms
