Job Description:

The Packaging Production Artist is responsible for taking rough design concepts for in-store graphic files from the design stage through to prepress. He/she will be responsible for interpreting the designer’s concept and bring the designer’s vision to life in a wide range of styles and techniques. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Ability to work within existing packaging system guidelines to extend the line to include new products. 
• Understanding of the scope of the myriad printing processes and their strengths and limitations is crucial. 
• Must be able to converse directly with printers to understand the printer’s concerns and to ensure the mechanical files in such a way so as to address these concerns. 
• Responsible for retouching images for reproduction. 
• Responsible for archiving and updating graphic files.

• Expert users of illustrator and photoshop. 
• Detail oriented.
• Experienced in different types of production. Packaging experience is a plus. 
• Can-do attitude, motivated and problem solvers. 
• Self Starters 
• Illustration skills are helpful 
• CAD or Sketch Up users would be welcome
