Job Description:

The Sr. Manager, Website Design & UX responsibilities include developing website and mobile user experience strategy, partnering with Global Brand and US Marketing, agencies/vendors to execute and deliver the user experience strategy for the US brand ecommerce site. The Sr. Manager is also responsible for overseeing a fulltime front-end developer, web designer plus an in-house freelance agency that supports brand site design, email marketing, retailer.com and digital advertising design & UX.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Leads and manages design and user experience team including partnership with agencies/vendors to meet all deadlines
  • Oversees in-house digital design freelance team including project manager, copy writer and three designers
  • Help develop and drive website enhancement roadmap with IT, serve as process development lead between web, creative and IT
  • Mentors and coaches team in order to expand their capabilities and skill set to drive career growth
  •  Oversee UAT process
  • Plans and analyzes a broad range of user experience activities to track trends in the market
  • Directs the design direction and establishes UX guidelines for the site
  • Drives high quality user experience research and visual design
  • Ensures timely delivery of site refreshes that are driven by user research and quantitative metrics
  • Aligns the scope, requirements, and innovative solutions to meet business goals and objectives
  • Collaborates with key cross-functional stakeholders to understand and support business goals and needs for new and existing products
  • Translates business requirements, user needs, and cross-functional teams inputs and recommendations into website design solutions for business needs
  • Identifies and contributes ideas as a catalyst for driving positive change
  • Anticipates potential project issues by providing solutions or contingency plans
  • Collects feedback actively from leadership and cross function teams to improve website and mobile

Requirements:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  •  7-10 years of professional work experience in digital design and user experience required
  • Experience with design of responsive site
  • Experience participating in software development lifecycles (SDLC) preferred
  • Excellent internal verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to collaborate in a distributed or complex team environment
  • Proficient working with HTML/CSS5 preferred
  • Demandware experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of WordPress preferred
  • Ability to read/write basic to intermediate+ JavaScript and PHP
  • General knowledge of browser capabilities, web technologies
  • Experience dealing well in the context of ambiguity

  • Demonstrates innovative thinking and a desire to continuously learn
