Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Project Manager with the strong internal drive. The Project Manager should have a basic understanding of infrastructure, corporate IT, and network technologies, and processes. They should also have basic knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices. Ability to work independently is also very important as they will not be co-located with the rest of the team. 

This position will be responsible for the coordination of the Infrastructure and Corporate IT decommission activities. The Project Manager 2 will work under the direction of the Decom Program Manager to drive specific decommissioning efforts. 

General Responsibilities: 
o Coordinate Corp IT and Infrastructure decommissions activities program under the direction of the Decom Program Manager. 
o Track and drive resolution of issues and risks with the technical and project teams. 
o Collect, track, and report on project metrics and KPIs. 
o Update project milestones and other project documentation. 
o Work with Decom Program Manager to ensure project remains on track. 
o Leverage light data analysis skills (Excel) to track decommission activities and identify decommission opportunities. 
o Conduct outreach with technical teams and end-users in person, by phone, and via email/chat. 
o Moderate domestic travel will be required.

o Exposure to project management utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies

o Excellent presentation and persuasion skills 
o Experience in tracking/reporting on project status and financial metrics 
o Strong internal drive and ability to work independently 
o Ability to solve problems independently with proper communication to management 
o Required ability to gather/interpret data from various sources and use analytical skills to resolve complex issues 
o Flexible approach and ability to adapt to constantly changing environment 
o Strong Excel skills. Experience with Jira a plus. 

Experience and Education Guidelines: 
o Competency within all phases of project management, including issue and risk identification and management, change management, tracking dependencies and milestones, and communication of overall project status 
o Minimum of 1-3+ years of experience in an IT-related role in a professional technology organization along with experience as an infrastructure project manager 
o Previous IT Operations or technical architecture/design work experience a plus 
o Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience required 
o Ability to develop strong relationships within and across multiple departments and/or functions within the company and across geographies 
o Basic understanding of ITIL, SDLC best practices 
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Visio, Excel, Word, Outlook)
