Job Description:

Aquent's technology client is seeking a Design Strategist for a direct hire role in Mountain View, CA.  

As the way people live and work evolves, we are discovering new design solutions to meet these changes and simplify the business of life for individuals and small businesses by exploring: Conversational UI to Immersive Media, Voice Assistants to Machine Learning and AI. The projects vary, from design-led self started explorations to collaborations with the core businesses. 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DESIGN STRATEGIST:
We need your expertise to bring to life new experiences for emerging technologies. You are a designer, researcher and maker who loves emerging technologies. You thrive on making order out of ambiguity and enjoy the frequent pivoting that is part of exploration.

What you’ll do:
DESIGN: Direct and deliver design vision, frameworks, and deliverables on a broad range of projects that impact the future product and business strategies
FUTURE: Research and communicate findings on new technologies, trends, and events within the tech industry and culture.
SHARE: Negotiate, communicate, and share discoveries to influence stakeholders and create energy around an idea or an initiative.
PROCESS: Refine and define the process of design innovation.
MENTOR: Inspire and mentor within the design community.
NETWORK: Broadly make relationships 
ORG: Become well versed in the Business Unit’s roadmaps, product cycles, and org charts.

Qualifications

A degree in Human Computer Interaction, graphic design, or a relevant field.
At least 7 years of experience delivering big, important product experiences and MVPs
Deep knowledge of design principles and methods, innovation, and ideation tools
Strong understanding of ethnographic methodologies – research should also be a strong passion with design
Experience with design and development across multiple platforms - Web, mobile, wearables, VR and beyond
A dazzling portfolio, with particular strength in visual design
