Job Description:

Senior Web Designer

Our corporate web team seeks an in-house front-end design and development contractor with strong HTML/CSS and UI/UX skills, and experience on platforms such as WordPress, Confluence Wiki, and SharePoint. You will produce high-quality online communications solutions and maintain our strong visual brand standards, and be responsible for completing projects that comply with corporate policies with minimal project supervision. Combined with your excellent communication and project management skills, you will be relied on for your technical expertise to develop and deliver high-quality results for our national organization's internal and external web properties.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Design/UI
Ensure that user interface attracts attention, holds audience interest, communicates effectively and presents a professional, quality image adhering to our corporate identity and brand standards.

Front-End Development
Advanced web design and development using Dreamweaver, WordPress, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Adobe Photoshop with eye on user experience best practices

Information Architecture
Provide usability analysis, interface design, content management, and development of graphical elements for web sites.

Project and time management
Balance technical, content, and design aspects of web projects. Manage budgets and timelines with often non-technical business clients. Assist in developing project estimates, and monitoring budgets or final recharges. Develop task identification, work effort estimates, and production schedules for development and on-going maintenance activities. Ensure that projects meet deadlines by adhering to production schedules, and identify potential delays and reporting to the client.

QA
Test and debug web sites, following QA procedures and best practices. Evaluates products to ensure overall quality and accuracy. Research, document, and recommends process improvements, systems and technologies for projects and department operations.
