Job Description:

Our client the creators of the top selling and critically acclaimed racing franchise are seeking a motivated Senior Environment Artist with an eye for detail and a passion for creating stunning photorealistic environments to join our team.   In this role you will use your talents to create key art assets for the franchise while collaborating with Art and Production Leads to solve visual and technical challenges. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and refine detailed photo-realistic environments, landscapes, and props
  • Able to work independently to a high level of quality solving visual and technical challenges
  • Use your talents to evaluate and implement quality improvements and art direction across large environments
  • Maintain a high level of quality while working within design constraints and balancing game performance
  • Work with art leads to investigate and prototype emerging technologies and improved workflows
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with your team, art directors, and production leads
  • Able to work independently to a high level of quality solving visual and technical challenges

 

Top must have skills:

  • Worked on 1 or 2 shipped titles on Console or PC (prefer 2 shipped titles)
  • Proficiency with 3DSMax and/or Equivalent Software (Maya)
  • Portfolio Quality

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with at least 2 shipped title on console or PC
  • A portfolio demonstrating high-quality realistic modeling and texturing
  • A strong visual and technical understanding of 3d modeling, texturing, and level creation
  • Proficiency with 3DSMax and/or equivalent software.
  • An understanding of physically based materials
  • An eagerness to learn new tools and processes
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • A passion for art, innovation, technology

 

Bonuses:

  • Experience with procedural tools such as Substance Designer/Painter
  • Experience with creation of real-time shaders
