Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to support, monitor, improve and efficiently execute Merchandising Operations processes *Note: This job is defined by two levels. Both the technical/non-technical abilities and the levels of performance are specified in the matrix at the end of the job description. Major responsibilities and duties: • Execute operational processes by maintaining, verifying, updating and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information. • Identify variances and errors in merchandising processes, work to resolve issues, participate in audits and the development of process improvements. • Create and maintain reporting and tracking documents to convey process performance to Process Managers. • Calculate, reconcile and prepare warranty documents, market funds and rebates. • Identify, track and report on cost recovery opportunities and activities related to process improvement. Examples include warranty, market funds, rebates, payment and freight terms, Stop Sale/Recall, Product Liability Insurance, Supplier Addition/Discontinuation and Customer • Specific Inventory. Requirements: • HS Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred • 3-4 years equivalent related business experience in Business Operations, Information • Management/Technology, Accounting or related • Proficient with word processing, Excel, Access, report writing software mainframe applications and SAP.(preferred) • PowerPoint, Visio and FrontPage are pluses • Display strong communication and organization skills • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. • Ability to work effectively on their own and in a team environment • Must be well organized, objective, decisive, assertive and flexible • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise professional manner both in written and verbal formats • Demonstrated ability to drive results Impact on organization: Work relationships • Reports to Manager Cost Management and Execution. • Interacts with other Product Management team members along with internal/external business partners; Cost Accounting, A/P, Finance, Inventory, IS, Product Intelligence, Field Support, Branch • Services, Find MRO, Grainger.Com, International, Legal, Marketing, Risk Management and Suppliers.
