Job Description:

Experienced Project Manager sought for in-house agency team! The Project Manager facilitates, coordinates and manages marketing communications projects to promote the businesses of our global client. Much of the work conducted for this PM involved national advertising campaigns, including commercials. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, assertive, possess excellent organization skills, and be self-directed. This candidate must be able to execute communications projects from concept to completion, adding value and sound judgment at every step, while staying on time and on budget. RESPONSIBILITIES  Project manages small to medium sized (up to $100,000 in budget)communication projects that support clients’ marketing plans and business goals as assigned by Leadership.  Oversees execution of timeline and budget for print, digital and web maintenance communication projects as assigned by Program Manager and/or the Director of Communications Project Management.  Coordinates, directs and monitors work from Kohler’s internal Centers of Excellence for the projects managed. This could include, but is not limited to: concept/layout, copy, design, photography, audio and video production.  Produces project documentation management as necessary including Communication Plan, Meeting Minutes, risk and issues logs, work breakdown structures and weekly management status reports.  Develops project timelines and estimates (or confirms existing estimates) and manages to them in order to deliver all projects on time and on budget.  Creates and executes Communication Plans for each project in order to update all stakeholders and maintain a close and supportive working relationship with representatives of the business units.  Maintains a close and supportive working relationship with Account Managers and Centers of Excellence  Tracks project hours and expenditures against budget.  Proactively offers ideas and solutions to impact net sales and drive revenue across the group.  Utilizes departmental project tracking system to enter project plans, resource allocation plans and project budget information.  Attends trade shows and other marketing events as required or directed by manager. Assists Exhibits and Displays Department as necessary prior to all trade shows, and be available to help in staffing the booth during the show if required.  Prepares weekly status reports for all projects managed.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Project Management and at least 2-3 years experience in an agency or communications environment. • Prior agency experience, along with broadcast knowledge is preferred.  • Proven ability to keep projects on schedule and on budget. • Comfortable interacting with senior leaders. • Have a keen sensitivity to the dynamics of a room. • Excellent verbal communication and written communication skills. • Dedication to detail and organization. • Ability to work independently and manage communications at all levels. • Interest in art and design.
