Job Title: Sr. Visual Interaction | CX Designer - ecommerce Job Location: San Francisco, CA Start Date: ASAP Salary: DOE *A FORTUNE 500 RETAILER IS LOOKING FOR A UX DESIGNER TO JOIN THEIR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & STRATEGY ASAP* In this exciting role, you will be asked to Independently create interaction designs for multiple projects each at different stages of design. Projects could range from concepting a new ecommerce site, to designing the interface for a mobile point-of-sale system, to developing the UI for an internal web-based application, to providing guidance on best practices for visual interaction for marketing content. -Deliverables will include wireframes, behavioral specifications and task flows. -Ensure your designs work within a responsive design system and develop and maintain guidelines for our customer-facing and internal applications. -Partner with product management and our internal customer research group to user-test your designs as needed. Contribute to the testing effort by planning testing cases, working with the development team and interaction designers to build prototypes, observing customers, analyzing user testing results, and presenting recommendations. -Work with the development team to bring your designs to life using the Agile development process. Make adjustments to the original designs as needed in response to technical requirements or limitations. -Communicate new ideas within the organization to a variety of audiences, from executives to software developers, through means such as: wireframes, storyboards, conceptual diagrams or low-fi prototypes.

Requirements:

• An online portfolio which demonstrates MINIMUM 5 years experience of hands-on interface design experience. • BA/BS degree in Design, User Experience, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology or related field, graduate-level work a plus. • Expert knowledge of user-centered interface design processes, methodology and UI best practices. Demonstrated experience with turning customer insight into interaction designs. • Ability to design interface solutions across a range of devices (e.g. desktop computer, mobile phone, tablet, retail point of sale system). • Fluency in visual design and interaction principles • Experience designing for eCommerce or SaaS • Hands-on experience designing responsive sites • Knowledge of the software development process and ability to communicate well with software development teams • Nimble, self-driven and balance multiple projects with aggressive development cycles • Experience with the following tools: Sketch, Invision, Axure, Adobe CS, GitHub, other prototyping tools • Familiar with current design software, prototyping tools and techniques, and basic coding
