Job Description:

Part-Time engagement (Two days out of the week / Less than 20 hours.)

6 month contract (Opportunity of extension to 12 months)

Responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies and tools for San Carlos, in line with business objectives and Corporate standards for branding and communications. Provide strategic counseling to the site head to drive organizational goals, including implementation of communications channels and contents, as well as communications support to San Carlos Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on key local communications initiatives to drive the site objectives and performance.

Support in, shaping and delivering clear, consistent, targeted messages to internal and external stakeholders.
Implement new and existing communications channels in support of the site strategy and goals.
Support the Site Head in driving objectives, change management program and long terms strategy through effective communications to internal and external stakeholders.
Plan and deliver site communications, including management of site events, intranet, local newsletter, and other relevant communication channels.
Be an active member of the Pharma TechOps communications team, aligning local messages and channels to Pharma TechOps strategy and guidelines as well as branding standards
Ensures compliance with GMP/HSE regulations, Companies policies, procedures and standards as appropriate for the role. Champions a Quality Culture and ensures a safe working environment.
Support local issues handling and media relations/queries in collaboration with Corporation and Global Pharma TechOps communications.

Skills:
A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in communication, planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press releases, annual reports, marketing literature, and other print publications and directories.
Highly skilled in creating PowerPoint presentations, creating announcements, can put together a “strategic” communication plan with milestones and intended deliverables.

Proven Project Management experience.
Experience in change management, training, economics is desirable.
Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with top tier reporters and editors, and in successfully positioning subject matter with the media to achieve high-impact placements
Extensive successful writing and editing experience (externally focused) with a variety of print and online communications media
Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing program to advance an organization’s mission and goals
Creative and thoughtful on how new media technologies can be utilized
Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output
Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs
Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance, and administration initiatives

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field is preferred.
