As the Retail Channel Manager, you will be responsible for helping us grow our global retail presence in a substantial way. You will be a primary contributor in the creation of a three year global retail strategy across all types of retailers and all categories of the licensed merchandise portfolio. You will maintain the day-to-day communication with Company global subsidiaries/field as well as global retailers with the goal of identifying retail activity opportunities across global retailers in designated prioritized markets (Western Europe, Canada as well as supporting the US market). You won’t do this work alone—you will do it in collaboration with our talented team of category managers and a diverse group of stakeholders across our Company and our licensed partners. The ideal candidate has channel management experience. You have excellent organizational and time management skills, and a strong sense of commitment to the team and the licensed merchandise retail business. This role requires a self-starter who excels at connecting internally and externally with key stakeholders and influencers. In addition, you are skilled at managing multiple projects at once, leading cross-team collaboration across various groups and negotiating with subsidiaries and retail partners. What you will be doing (responsibilities) Contribute to building a global retail marketing strategy that determines the goals and plans of the licensed merchandise categories and drives presence of the merchandise portfolio at retail Establish and grow relationship with buyers at key retailers in an effort to drive presence and promotional activity at retail Tier 2 & 3 US retail accounts Tier 2 & 3 Western Europe retail accounts Canada market Eastern Europe market Drive execution of Tier 1 US and Western Europe retail accounts Collaborate in the creation of programs that align to the retail marketing strategy/goals that increase retail presence and drive the merchandise business globally Outline programs’ vision, objectives and ROI Execute approved programs – this includes coordinating with retailer and/or licensed partner, working with finance to calculate programs ROI, working with the field as programs are locked with them, tracking results and preparing a post mortem Work alongside the marketing team as needed as opportunities are identified globally Create and maintain team documents and tools that will help execute and track retail activity, as well as share it with the greater team for visibility Produce the licensed merchandise retail strategy document that will serve as reference to all retail activity proposed and locked Create and maintain licensed merchandise yearly retail calendar that includes all proposed retail activity for all licensed merchandise categories by retailer Collaborate with the licensed merchandise category managers to build said retail execution calendar and ensure that it effectively aligns with category/product launches and increases presence of new products/categories in the retail channel Collaborate in the creation of a post mortem template to be filled out with each retail program executed Manage yearly retail budget, programs’ and budget ROI and track each spend accurately Create a document that functions as an internal educational and reference tool for the teams in the orgs and increases visibility of our retail efforts Perform functions related to retail execution programs that help fulfill programs and are part of the overall process, such as: Opening PO’s Adding new vendors we collaborate with and are not in the system What you will need (qualifications) Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience developing and executing retail channel programs with the end goal of gaining retail exposure of products and categories Ability to work well in a team environment with various internal organizations Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously to deadlines Proven ability to drive projects from start to finish Experience working in retail and with global markets BS/BA degree required Proficient in Microsoft Office products

What you will need (qualifications)

  • 5 years of experience with retail channel management 
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience developing and executing retail channel programs with the end goal of gaining retail exposure of products and categories
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with various internal organizations 
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously to deadlines
  • Proven ability to drive projects from start to finish
  • Experience working in retail and with global markets
  • BS/BA degree required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
