Job Description:

Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to help support the Marketing initiatives and projects within the Institutional Retirement business group. This role starts at a 6-month contract.

• Experience with digital marketing channels preferred
• Ability to manage marketing programs independently
• Financial services marketing experience preferred
• B2B marketing experience preferred

Senior Marketing Specialist:
The Sr. Marketing Specialist is part of a dynamic team that contributes to taking the client's marketing approach to the next level by increasing its contribution and effectiveness. The Sr. Marketing Specialist will work closely with other internal constituents, including AFD’s other lines of business, Marketing Research, Business Analysis, Web, Communications, Dealer Relations, IT, Project Office, the Divisional Business Units and other entities. The Sr. Marketing Specialist may also interact with external constituents such as financial advisers, dealer/platform home office contacts, and a variety of third party product/service providers.

-Project plans, develops, manages, and executes for fully-integrated marketing plans, including the following. Determines project objectives and develops internal consensus for positioning. Designs and writes marketing plans/briefs outlining specific marketing activities to support business, sales, and marketing initiatives. Coordinate with various internal and external constituents, including prioritization, delegation, and monitoring of tasks. Executes the plan. Performs post-program analysis independently or in conjunction with Business Intelligence resources.
-Manages day-to-day activity of ongoing marketing programs.
-Plans, develops, and executes e-mail campaigns in close collaboration with the various Digital Channel teams.
-Act as a business resource, on behalf of the Marketing Team, for technology projects.
-Contributes to strategic marketing discussions with business areas.
-Demonstrates the ability to lead and manage projects across multiple teams or groups
-Demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment; initiative to work and learn independently and proactively contribute to department goals; and ability to lead others while maintaining effective business relationships with associates throughout the organization.
-Demonstrates the ability to collaborate and develop/maintain relationships at a variety of levels both within and outside of the client organization.
-Demonstrates strong detail orientation, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. Ability to effectively manage an unpredictable workload and meet established deadlines.

-Demonstrates strong production coordination skills including facilitating meetings, maintaining schedules, tracking deliverables, problem solving, and escalating issues as appropriate
-Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the mutual fund industry and the ability to apply it to projects
-Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices and the ability to apply it to projects
-Demonstrates an aptitude for or a working knowledge of various internal and external business systems and the ability to apply it to projects (e.g., ExactTarget email system, Salesforce.com, etc.)
-Demonstrates experience briefing and reviewing creative work/agencies (both print and on-line/digital)
-Demonstrates experience using analytics/metrics to better design and evaluate marketing programs
-Requires a minimum of 5-7 years of marketing experience
-Requires a Bachelor’s degree
