Aquent's Fortune 500 retail client is looking for a Front End Developer to work an initial 6 month contract onsite in Richfield, MN.

Business Overview:
In this role, you will be a critical member of the team migrating our .mx web site onto our .com global platform. You will be developing a new front end web application, consuming multiple back-end services. Candidate will need to be comfortable working in small team close collaboration. You will be working in an agile environment, focused on test-driven development with an emphasis on delivering working software for stakeholders.

Project Description:
Developing new e-commerce view applications on top of multi-tenant platform web services. Engineers develop application code for the browser and Node.js server. In addition to solid front end skills, the ideal candidate will be an expert server side JavaScript, packaging Node.js applications, and the Node.js runtime. Automated tests will drive your JavaScript code to interpret a JSON model of presentation components provided by content tools. You will be part of a fully engaged and self-organizing team.

Required Experience:
•At least 10+ years of relevant broad software engineering experience
•BS/MS in computer science or engineering (or equivalent professional experience)
•Experience with large-scale distributed systems and web oriented architectures
•Developing apps using Node and JavaScript
•REST clients and services
•Test Driven Development and testing in general in a complex environment
•Version control with Git
•Frontend technologies such as Angular or React
•Unix (Linux) command line
•Task runners such as Grunt or Gulp

Preferred Experience:
•Exposure to being a Technical Lead on a complex distributed systems project
•Experience with Express, Webpack, and Mocha
•Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCE, etc.)
