Long term contract for a creative, strategic-minded DIGITAL Production Manager for our client's Corporate Brand Communications team!

The DIGITAL Production Manager must offer experience and a vision for supporting, managing and motivating a team of creative resources (on-site and off-site) to continuously deliver high quality, web-based and visual campaign materials primarily consisting of email and web banner campaigns. This position must carefully distribute requested work to available resources to meet tight deadlines while helping to deliver creative elements for key campaigns that meet the goals and objectives for the related business. 

GOOD TO KNOW:

  • In this role, you'll work full-time hours on a fairly flexible schedule. You'll work a great deal with colleagues located in Toronto so an early morning start is best. 
  • The ideal candidate comes from a digital agency PM background.
  • Candidate will work on the digital campaigns team (emails, banners, etc). 
  • Employees from all over the country enter requests into JIRA -- the chosen candidate reviews and kicks off those requests (gathering details, aligning resources). 
  • High volume -- 200 banners, 100-150 email campaigns per qtr. 
  • The role is similar to ad agency account service -- lots of details juggling, hand holding, relationship building. 
  • Chosen candidate will be strategic -- sit down with "client" and be consultative -- creative thinker is very important.
  • JIRA experience is helpful

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Manage intake of incoming requests and prioritize projects based on importance and urgency; influence and negotiate deadlines based on priorities and available resources.
    • Tier project criticality to determine level of creative resources required for successful execution and delivery.
    • Maintain a good understanding of the teams’ skill sets and monitor their bandwidth to ensure projects are completed to standards and on time.
    • Manage workflow/schedule of all incoming and existing projects while keeping all parties informed of status, conflicts, and delays; communicate project priorities and due dates to the creative team to ensure alignment of work efforts and priorities.
    • Learn about and become an expert user of the JIRA project tracking system to track all aspects of the work.
    • Enforce adherence to creative workflow processes and deadlines to ensure standardized approach and delivery through a high level of productivity.
    • Maintain brand consistency for all output based on brand guidelines.
    • Collaborate as needed with the IMS team to ensure smooth delivery of assets to site.
    • Provide quarterly reporting on activities and deliver accurate time-tracking information for consistent cost allocation of resources to appropriate cost centers.
    • Develop and maintain traffic management guidelines and process documentation with the goal of continuous improvement to the traffic system and account management process.
    • Produce and distribute accurate and meaningful traffic and metric reports by maintaining workload data and traffic activities.
    • Maintain strong working relationships internally with related stakeholders to ensure open lines of communications regarding priorities, requirements, and status.

  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 2+ years of experience in web production environment
    • 2+ years of experience managing web design team with responsibilities including management of creative talent
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to listen effectively
    • Detail oriented team player and strong team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate the team
    • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize a wide range of tasks
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing requirements
    • Developed sense of ownership and accountability with a strong ‘client / customer’ orientation
    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and JIRA, familiarity with desktop publishing applications
