Job Description:

Aquent's Fortune500 client in Woonsocket, RI is looking for a UX Usability Researcher for a 6-month contract (40/hrs, 5 days, onsite) with strong potential to extend beyond.

- 75% work will support the Innovation Lab and 25% the Core UX Creative team
- Innovation Lab needs to go from 1-3 studies a month
- Role is focused on unmoderated, online, user.com testing with maybe a little 1:1 in-person usability testing in the facility based on the Woonsocket campus

What You'll Do:

- Design and administer usability studies on a wide range of web-based platforms and applications
- Analyze results and efficiently prepare reports detailing the outcome of usability studies
- Present findings with actionable recommendations to business sponsors and senior management
- Lead all phases of usability test preparation, including recruiting, scheduling, and test script development
- Identify and implement a variety of methods for getting input and feedback from customers, including card-sorting exercises, lab usability studies, online usability studies, remote usability studies, and others as appropriate
- Conduct user research to determine future directions for our websites and applications, including mobile apps


Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., usability, human factors, HCI, psychology) is preferred
- Experience in the UX, usability, and/or user research fields
- 2+ years of work experience in UX research
- Optimistic and Proactive
- High degree of professionalism combined with professional flexibility
- Ability to swiftly revise and improvise research plans as the environment dictates
- Sense of humor, can-do attitude and ongoing willingness to learn

Preferred familiarity or experience with:
- Card-sorting methods
- Usability studies (lab and remote)
- Large-scale online (un-moderated) usability studies
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, general familiarity with Axure
