Contract with possibility of extension or perm with Fortune 500 Tech company based in Round Rock!
This role leads one of our client's partner businesses and works cross-functionally with sales leadership, product line managers, procurement, Partner Software, Partner Marketing and external partnerships to ensure our client has the right productivity software products to meet market expectations, align and develop go-to-market strategy and drive profitable growth.
Day-to-day Activities: There are four key pillars to successfully managing this business:
1. Product Management –Execution of product pricing, placement, promotions and messaging to drive product strategy
2. Partner Management – Engaging with partners on a regular basis to align on strategy and forecasted KPI/product mix. Develop new products/programs to meet future needs and negotiate royalties, program terms, funding and performance metrics in contracts.
3. Sales Management – Develop relationships with sales leadership to ensure they are aware of revenue/margin contribution to their P&L, create sales strategy, report on progress and revise as needed.
4. Funding Management – Forecast partner funding, create marketing activity plan, ensure compliance of all activities, and track execution of plan and timely delivery of “proof of execution”.
Selling Points: This role leads the largest vendor on the team, works directly with the partner and touches almost every major organization within our client. This is a very high visibility role that regularly interacts with executives of all levels.
< 25% travel, generally once per quarter depending on partner needs
Skill Requirement: Procurement (partner management and contract negotiation), go-to-market strategy development, and executive experience a must. Strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with new product launches, sales/product operations, volume licensing a plus.
