AQUENT is seeking a Communications Coordinator for an exciting opportunity in McLean, VA!

Corporate Volunteerism Implementation
• Assist with implementing footprint-wide corporate volunteerism plans that align with corporate community affairs and line of business priorities while responding to community needs
• Support and help advance engage priorities/activities
• Provide ongoing reporting related to volunteerism and CRA goals
• Provide and/or leverage onsite volunteer management support where necessary to ensure high quality associate volunteer experiences and drive volunteer retention
• Promote corporate associate engagement volunteer tracking and partner with the operations team regarding volunteer data reporting
• Assist with team volunteer projects, as requested

Communications and Administration
• Assist in activating Investing for Good community brand locally in partnership with internal stakeholders through Pulse and other channels
• Assist in answering departmental questions and resolving problems for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain internal Volunteer page
• Support volunteer programming logistics including room and catering reservations, preparing project materials, inputting volunteer project details into Volunteer Connection, confirming volunteers, responding to volunteer questions, etc.
• Recommend internal communication ideas that help inform associates of philanthropic efforts, engagement opportunities and focus areas
• Support associate education of CRA, Future Edge, and general volunteerism standards

Event Planning
• Implement events throughout the year related to associate engagement
• Develop and execute volunteer recognition strategy
• Support national program touchdowns in various markets, as requested

Research and Analysis
• Conduct research and analysis on nonprofit organizations markets for prospective volunteer engagement
• Track partner volunteerism agreements and ensure fulfilment
• Provide analysis on past volunteerism and make informed recommendations for increased efficiencies/renewals

• Bachelor’s degree; priority given to areas of corporate social responsibility, business, public relations, or communications
• 1-3 years’ experience in volunteer coordination, event planning, and project management preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong influencing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
• Database management experience
• Team oriented and collaborative
• Strong EQ skills. Able to comfortably interact with senior executives, community leaders, associates, and client groups across the company
• Demonstrated ability to collect and utilize data to drive decisions
• Willingness to work behind the scenes; views success as a product of the team
• Ability to quickly adapt and remain flexible to changing requests
• Comfortable balancing multiple relationships and projects simultaneously
• Well organized, self-motivated and committed to achieving results
• Accustomed to high professional standards and expectations
• Working knowledge of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
